DANCING IN THE MELON PATCH©2003
Machine quilted Commercial cotton, hand-dyed cotton, cheesecloth 35”w x 62”l Price: $1500.00 After taking a class from Velda Newman, I experimented using cheesecloth to create the look of the cantaloupe skin. threads were pulled from the cheesecloth, then formed into circles. The melons were quilted separately, before placing onto the background of leaves and vines. The leaves were outlined in a satin stitch using neon green thread to define their edges.
