This is a humorous
series spotlighting the “cat”. Each
quilt contains the fabric that reads “Yes You Did”. While
shopping in a fabric store, I always try to find the back tables where their
discards or “hard-to-sell” fabrics are located. On
one of these trips I found a hot pink fabric, that had the words, “Yes you
did” printed on it. I did not
have any idea at the time what I would use it for, but when I started making
this cat series, I decided that those words aptly fit this whimsical cat. This
cat does mischievous deeds. The
first one shows the birdcage empty. The
second one has his eyes on the fish bowl. The
third one has a mouse-tail in his mouth. And
the fourth one has just spilled the milk bottle, and if you have seen the
commercial where the celebrity drink milk and says, “Got milk?” well he did
